For the love of Brownies (Gluten & Grain-Free)
What's not to fall in love with ❤️ Decadent ❤️ Easy ❤️ Moist ❤️ Kid-approved ❤️
½ cup sunbutter
½ cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
½ cup cacao powder (can use cocoa powder)
½ teaspoon celtic sea salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup chocolate chips
In a food processor, combine sunbutter, eggs, and maple syrup
Pulse in vanilla, vinegar, cacao powder, salt, and baking soda
Stir in chocolate chips by hand
Transfer batter to a greased 8 x 8 inch baking dish
Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes
Cool for 1 hour
The batter is extremely runny. You may need to bake and extra 5-7 minutes or until the batter is no longer jiggly. Careful not to overcook as it will become more like a cake. Should come out with a perfectly rich, thick, fluffy, soft texture. Delicious!
I added 1/2 cup of walnuts as I love the taste and benefit of the added heart healthy Omega-3 fatty acids. Other alternatives include replacing the chocolate chips with shredded coconut.
